Bachman Bay Kennels has been striving to find and breed the hardest hunting, most talented German Wirehaired Pointers for the serious hunter since 1996. We test, trial or judge all across North America looking for the best wirehairs. We purchase dogs from other breeders every year to evaluate against our stock.  We only breed dogs that excel in the marsh and on the Chukar hills that are proven on wild birds in the west.

         We test our dogs in the North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association (NAVHDA) testing system and the Versatile Hunting Dog Federation (VHDF) system. We also run our dogs in American Kennel Club (AKC) horseback field trials, hunt tests and conformation shows. Testing our dogs eliminates any breeder bias and gives us an evaluation based on a third party.
