About Spur:

Spur has an ideal western bird dog coat and great furnishings. He is a very photogenic dog who is very biddable and loving dog. Spur is a medium range dog that has been very successful on grouse, quail and chukar. Spur really excels at pinning snipe in the coastal wetlands. His snipe hunting skills are the best I have seen. We took spur on a Montana prairie birds and pheasant hunt in 2018 and to Canada in 2019 he is coming along very well on upland birds. Spur is a monster in the water and spends a lot of time retrieving waterfowl in the coastal bays and lagoons of the California coast.

Spur came from an exceptional litter. This litter was specifically line bred back to genetics from VC Black Canyon Gin and VC Heidlwolf Benelli on two sides of the pedigree. All of the seven pups in his litter were tested in the NAVHDA natural ability test and they scored a combined average of 110 out of a possible 112, which is a fantastic show of his good genetics. Spur’s Dam Blue came from a litter that all five of the puppies tested in Natural Ability received 112 prize one maximum Natural Ability test scores.
