About Ichabod:

Ichabod is co-owned with 11 year old Vivienne Edminster of  Liberty Lake, WA

Ichabod has a special bond with Viv that is obvious the second you look at the two together. Ichabod is an extremely cooperative well built young male. Ichabod and Viv had a great first year together doing horseback field trials, NAVHDA, Show ring and wild bird hunting. 

Ichabod has a lot of natural talent finding and pointing bird as well as a passion for the water.

Ichabod did well hunting forest grouse, pheasants and huns during his first season.

Viv and Ichabod had so much fun doing the horseback field trials they started out slow with walking trials and  then just started walking during the horseback trials. Eventually borrowing a horse and having a professional handler help her. Ichabod took 4th in the national derby, 1st in the national puppy and was the third ranked derby dog.  Viv fell in love with field trials so much she bought a field trial horse named Roger. 

​

Ichabod came from an exceptional  litter. Ichabod and seven of his littermates received  a prize one in their NAVHDA Natural Ability Test. Ichabod's Sire Trek comes from a pairing of some of the nicest dogs from Wireswest kennel and Claddagh kennel. Trek is a talented dog that is big running and hits the water hard. Trek is a young stud but has produced two impressive litters. 

 

 Ichabod's dam, Blue has been an incredible producer of quality pups. Blue’s litters have produced nineteen exceptional puppies, they had an average Natural Ability test score of 109.8/112 points and four of her pups have placed in the German Wirehair Pointer Club of America's National Horseback derby Field Trial (2nd ,3rd place finishes in 2019, 4th place in 2021 and 4th place in 2022). Two of her pups placed first and third in the GWPCA Puppy Classic in 2022.
