Blue Grouse Camp

Blue and Ruffed Grouse hunting in Oregon

Join us for grouse camp!

Although many people call them blue grouse, however since 2006 Blue grouse were split into two species the sooty grouse and the dusky grouse. Sooty grouse are more associated with the coast.

The areas we focus on are strictly Dusky grouse.

At our well established grouse camp we work the ridgetops above treeline for Dusky Grouse and hit the wet meadows and aspen stands for Ruffed grouse.  The big show for us is dusky grouse ruffs are a bonus. â€‹â€‹

Season Dates 2024 September 1-15 is when we will be in the forest.

Bag limits three Dusky (9 in possession) three ruffed grouse (9 in possession)

Includes rustic cabin with incredible views and all  homemade meals.

Hunters must be in good shape  and able to walk 4-8 miles in a day.

We teach our hunters about the biology and natural history of this bird species. What it eats and how how to find these birds at different times of day including techniques to get them to hold for pointing dogs.
